Your music.
Your privacy.
Tuneara needs no registration. Here is what the app and website process.
Your audio stays on your device.
The tuner uses your microphone to detect pitch on your device. We do not upload recordings or a stream of your notes. Microphone access stops when you leave the tuner or the app becomes inactive. You can revoke permission in your device settings.
Usage and crash reports.
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand usage and fix problems. Reports include app activity, selected instruments, session duration, tempo, technical errors, device and app information, and installation identifiers. We do not attach a name, email or account. These identifiers make the reports pseudonymous, rather than completely anonymous. Advertising-identifier collection and advertising-personalization signals are disabled.
App analytics and crash reporting run automatically; there is currently no in-app opt-out. Website preferences do not change app reporting.
Website cookies and hosting.
When enabled, Google Analytics loads automatically on tuneara.com and uses cookies to measure visits. You can disable it through “Analytics preferences” in the footer. We save that choice in your browser. Our page-view events omit URL query strings and fragments, and advertising features are disabled.
Cloudflare hosts the website and processes connection information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect it.
Providers, retention and your rights.
Google and Cloudflare may process information outside your country. See Firebase’s privacy information and Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. Crashlytics retains crash data and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal; analytics retention follows the configured Google Analytics settings.
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion, object to or restrict processing, request portability, or complain to a data-protection authority. We may need installation information to locate records because there are no accounts. Disabling analytics stops future collection; it does not automatically delete past reports.
