A free tuner for
your instruments.
Tune your guitar, bass, ukulele or violin with clear pitch guidance. Tuneara includes an instrument tuner, a chromatic tuner and a metronome in one free app for iPhone and Android.

See whether your note is flat or sharp.
Play a string and the tuner shows the detected note and which way to adjust. Make small changes until you reach the target pitch. The display helps you follow each adjustment as you tune.
Choose the tuner for your instrument.
Tuneara has dedicated tuning modes for guitar, bass, ukulele and violin. Each mode uses the instrument’s standard tuning notes:
- Guitar tuner: E–A–D–G–B–E for a standard six-string guitar.
- Bass tuner: E–A–D–G for a standard four-string bass.
- Ukulele tuner: G–C–E–A for standard ukulele tuning.
- Violin tuner: G–D–A–E for standard violin tuning.
All four instrument modes are free. Our standard tuning guide explains the notes and octaves for each instrument.
Use chromatic tuning for other notes.
The free chromatic tuner detects individual notes without a fixed set of strings. Use it when you need to check a note outside an instrument preset. Learn how chromatic tuning works and when to use it.
Get a clear reading.
Keep your phone near the instrument in a quiet space. Play one note at a time, let it settle, and adjust gradually. If pitch readings are new to you, our guide explains what it means to be in tune.
Tune, then start practicing.
Once your instrument is tuned, switch to the free metronome to practice your timing. Both tools are included without a subscription or paid upgrade.
